Mozilla article says go to the three dot option and tap 'Synchronise and save data..' Afraid there's no sign of such an option.

Do you see you email address in the Firefox for Android menu? If so, you are already signed in and can select that address to access the Firefox Sync settings.

Thanks for your reply Paul. Yes my @ is indeed on the Firefox menu. Tapping that shows it was already synced and all the bookmarks are up to date.
